Xiaomi’s wearable devices are organized by the Mi Fitness mobile application, which now offers the feature of syncing with Google Fit or Strava.
Mi Fitness: How to Connect Your Watch with Suunto, Strava, and Google Fit
Despite prior complaints from users on the official Xiaomi forum about the inability to synchronize their smart watch data with third-party apps, the latest version of Mi Fitness supports this feature. We verified this using a Xiaomi Watch S3 and an Android smartphone, using the Google Fit service.

Synchronizing your data is straightforward and is an integrated function in the Mi Fitness app. In our case, we had the version labeled V3.27.0i installed on our smartphone.

Upon sign-in, certain data, including steps, burned calories, travelled distance, and GPS-tracked sports activities, can be synced. However, the data won’t automatically begin syncing.

Actually, you need to sign in to the Mi Fitness app, link your smartwatch or fitness bracelet through your profile, bind the app with either Food, Suunto, or Google Fit as per your preference, and grant synchronization. Take note that you’ll need the login credentials for the third-party app you want to synchronize your device with.
Simple Steps Overview
To link your watch with any of the above-mentioned three services, the following straightforward steps can be followed:
- Launch the Mi Fitness app and then visit your profile
- Select the “Third Party Data” option
- Then choose the third-party app you prefer to sync your data with
- Log into the chosen app (Strava, Suunto or Google Fit) in a separate window
- Choose the data you want to share with the app (not all data has to be transferred automatically)
- Confirm this option and your chosen data will automatically start to sync
