The Redmi subsidiary has officially introduced its new smartphone Redmi Turbo 3 equipped with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor and OLED display. The renamed model is set to take Europe by storm as the POCO F6.

The Redmi Turbo 3 is captivating right from first sight, with its notable protruding rear cameras and rounded corners for an enhanced user comfort. Measuring 160.5 x 74.4 x 7.8 mm and weighing a mere 179 grams, this device is set to impress.
Europeans should expect to see this smartphone under the brand name POCO, as the smartphone POCO F6 soon.
The device boasts a 6.67″ 1.5K (2712 x 1220 pixels) OLED display on the front, capable of reaching a peak brightness of 2 nits and offering 400 Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. It owns a high refresh rate of 1920 Hz, a high sampling rate of 120 Hz, and supports HDR480+ and Dolby Vision.
Performance is driven by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 (4 nm) chip, paired with an Adreno 735 graphics chip, liquid-based cooling, a Vapor Chamber of 4800 mm², 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and an expandable memory of up to 1 TB UFS 4.0 storage.
The rear camera of the Redmi Turbo 3 / POCO F6 delivers a resolution of 50 MPx along with optical image stabilization (1/1,95″ Sony LYT-600 sensor, aperture f/1,59). It houses an 8 MPx ultra-wide-angle secondary camera (Sony IMX355) as well. The in-display front camera boasts a 20 MPx resolution (OmniVision OV20B).
The smartphone operates on the latest Xiaomi HyperOS. Other features include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio support, an in-display fingerprint reader, DualSIM support (2 x nanoSIM), and an IP 64 certified water and dust resistance.
It is equipped with an infrared sensor for controlling home electronics and a 5000 mAh battery, that supports 90 W speedy wired charging. Charge halfway in just 12 minutes and achieve full capacity in only 35 minutes.
Price and availability of the new Redmi smartphone
The Redmi Turbo 3 will be available in China in Black Crystal, Green Blade and Ice Titanium colors from April 15, 2024. The initial prices are as follows:
- 12 + 256 GB is priced at 1999 yuan (approx. €257)
- 12 + 512 GB for 2299 yuan (approx. €295)
- 16 + 512 GB for 2499 yuan (approx. €322)
- 16 + 1 TB for 2799 yuan (approx. €360)
Redmi Turbo 3 – Harry Potter edition
A special Harry Potter edition will also be released, marked by unique design elements, hand-painted motifs, and colouring on the smartphone, its packaging, and accessories. This edition may not reach Europe. However, its Chinese retail price is:
